Welcome to Tool Pile. Please read these Terms of Service carefully. By accessing or using Tool Pile, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form legally binding contracts to use our services.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under it.
4. Listings and Transactions
You represent that you have the right to sell any equipment you list and that your listings are accurate and complete.
5. Safety & Privacy
To protect your privacy, listings display only a username and ZIP code — never your full name or street address — and uploaded photos are stripped of embedded location data before they are published. Tool Pile uses automated tools to flag off-platform payment attempts. Buyers and sellers are expected to communicate through the platform and to meet and complete transactions in person. Tool Pile facilitates connections between buyers and sellers but is not a party to any transaction and is not responsible for the condition, safety, legality, or completion of any sale.
6. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in fraud, misrepresentation, off-platform solicitation, or any activity that disrupts the platform or its users.
7. Fees and Payments
Tool Pile does not process payments. Buyers and sellers arrange and complete transactions directly with each other, in person. Listing equipment on Tool Pile is currently free. If we introduce fees in the future, we will provide notice before they take effect.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tool Pile shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
